I love how the older couple gave you a surprisingly affirming response. But I love even more where you land in this post: “That’s how I make my living, but first, let me tell you about my life”. Yes indeed.

I loved reading this! Though my job is maybe more tangible, I am sometimes sad to not be working on "real world problems", and I don't like the idea of our work defining our lives. PS I was just turned on to Richard Scarry somehow? These books are amazing.
